Shah Rukh Khan

SRK was  born on 2 November (1965) in New Delhi to a Muslim family.
He spent the first five years of his life in Mangalore, where his grandfather, Iftikhar Ahmed, worked as a major port engineer in the 1960s.
Khan's father, Mir Taj Muhammad Khan, was an Indian independence activist from Peshawar who fought for the service of God, a non-violent resistance movement led by Abdul Ghaffar Khan (known as Baacha Khan or "Frontier Gandhi"). Also called for unity and independence. India.
 Mir was a follower of Abdul Ghaffar Khan and belonged to the Indian National Congress.

Khan's mother, Latifa Fatima, was the daughter of a senior government engineer.
His parents were married in 1959.
 According to Khan, his grandfather, Mir Jan Mohammad Khan, was an ethnic (Patan) of Afghanistan.
 His cousin in Peshawar claims that his family speaks Hindu and is originally from Kashmir, contradicting the claim that his grandfather was from Afghanistan.
Khan grew up in the Rajendra Nagar area of ​​New Delhi. His father owned several business projects, including a restaurant, and his family lived a mediocre life in rented apartments.
 Khan studied at St. Columba's School in central Delhi where he excelled in his studies and sports such as hockey and football, and received the school's highest award, the Sword of Honor.
Initially Khan had hoped to pursue a career in sports, but in his early years he could no longer play due to a shoulder injury.
 Instead, in his youth, he acted in stage dramas and received accolades for imitating Bollywood actors, including his favorite Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Mumtaz. His childhood friend and actor friend was Amrita Singh, who became a Bollywood actress.

Khan enrolled at Hansraj College (1985-88) to pursue a bachelor's degree in economics, but spent most of his time in the Delhi Theater Action Group (TAG), where he became the director of theater. John studied acting under his tutelage.

Although Khan was given the birth name Shah Rukh Khan, he prefers to write his name as Shah Rukh Khan, and is usually referred to by the initial SRK.
